Ankeet S. Bhatt, MD, MBA, ScM is a practicing cardiologist and clinical researcher the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center. Dr. Bhatt's research interests include cardio-renal-metabolic disease, with a particular focus on heart failure, digital health and implementation and care delivery science.
Dr. Bhatt completed his undergraduate degree in biological sciences at the University of Connecticut, where he completed both medical and business training in a joint MD/MBA program. He completed his residency at the Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and critical care medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He completed a 2-year research fellowship and earned a Master of Science (ScM) in Epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Bhatt has several interests across cardiometabolic health, including the design and execution of large pragmatic clinical trials in digital health and care delivery innovation.
Dr. Bhatt serves on the leadership of several clinical trials and has presented his research at national and international scientific congresses. He has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed manuscripts and currently serves as the Section Editor of Implementation & Care Delivery Science for the Journal of Cardiac Failure and a cardiology series advisor for the British Medical Journal (BMJ) – Medicine.
